If you are feeling ill, it’s extremely important that you cancel your offer. If you have or think you have symptoms, wait 72 hours after symptoms disappear before hosting an offer. If you’ve been in contact with someone who is infected, wait 14 days before hosting an experience.

• Consider limiting the areas a guest can enter in your home to only the necessary spaces. This is to decrease the amount of space you need to clean and sanitize afterwards.
• Consider moving your experience to an outdoor space like a park or balcony. Keep windows open when possible to allow for air circulation.
• Avoid direct contact with guests and encourage guests to avoid it as well. Make sure to limit your servings available to match your room space. Hosts and guests have to keep a distance of 1,5 metres at any time.
• Wear protective face coverings and remind your guests to do so as well until they are seated in an appropriate distance to one another.
• Always make sure to follow our rules for hygiene and food safety. E.g. washing and disinfecting your hands and working surfaces regularly is required when hosting an offer on melon.

If you feel uncomfortable meeting in confined spaces, you can consider taking the “To Go”-Option when creating an offer. We furthermore advise you to meet in open spaces like balconies or outdoor areas in the form of a picnic. Even when meeting outside, wear protective face coverings and remind your guests to do so as well until they are seated in an appropriate distance to one another. Avoid family-style dining and buffets (opt for individual, plated services instead).

Be sure to wash your hands before, during, and after hosting an offer and bring hand sanitizer if you have it available.

• Wash your hands properly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Wash them before handling food, eating food, after interaction with a domestic animal or working animal, after going to the bathroom, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
• If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
• If you’re eating together, avoid family-style dining and buffets (opt for individual, plated services instead).

If you recently tested positive for COVID-19 or have started to feel any COVID-19 symptoms after hosting an offer, contact us and let us know when you tested positive and when the symptoms began.

All melon hosts and guests must wear protective face coverings as recommended by regulatory agencies or authorities such as the Bundesgesundheitsministerium or the European CDC. The participants can remove their protective face coverings once they are seated in an appropriate distance to one another.
